Nomenclature edit

Is "district" the best translation of 區 in the context of Taiwan's administrative divisions? For example, in the Yangmei article it states that it was "upgraded from a city to a district" which sounds more like a downgrade. Dadge (talk) 15:59, 25 October 2022 (UTC)Reply

  • Support Article is about geopolitical subdivisions. Hence, should be "Taiwan", per main article. No convincing reasons given for exemptions here. N-HH talk/edits 20:46, 6 August 2012 (UTC)Reply

  • Support. This title should follow that of the parent article, i.e. Taiwan. All these districts are on the island of Taiwan, or in the province. So even the nitpickers can't object here. 10:52, 7 August 2012 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Kauffner (talkcontribs)
  • Support per the country article's name and WP:COMMONNAME. Timrollpickering (talk) 19:11, 12 August 2012 (UTC)Reply
