This needs a photo of the medallion and the plaque. --Gadget850 ( Ed) 14:26, 9 June 2006 (UTC)Reply

Each plaque is unique...it's inscribed with the award write up of each recipient; and it's in 3D relief. I know George Thomas Coker (did his nomination and presented it at his ceremony). The plaques are exquisitely beautiful, about 14x20, and cost about $700. The medallion is a gold eagle on a red/white/blue necklace. Maybe George will take photos for us. The recipients section is a duplicate of List of Eagle Scouts (Boy Scouts of America). Recommend we delete this section. I'm also not sure what Uncle Dan's Eagle badge has to do with the DESA. --Gadget850 ( Ed) 15:21, 7 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

I simply created the section and rearranged the existing text. The text about Dan Beard's badge existed here and in his article too. It is not exactly a duplicate of the List of notable Eagle Scouts, but I see where you are going... Recommend we keep, maybe pare it down. Dddstone 18:40, 7 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

We used to have an article titled List of Distinguished Eagle Scouts, but it was merged with List of notable Eagle Scouts some time ago, as there was obviously a lot of overlap. We solved it with the gold eagle icon on the list. The problem with having a list here is... where does it stop. --Gadget850 ( Ed) 19:05, 7 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

I agree that the recipients section is duplication. It will always be incomplete and is not really necessary for the article. As an example the article on the Nobel Prize does not include a sample list of recipients. --Jdurbach 17:37, 8 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

1 & 2 are dead. Closest I can find is http://www.scouting.org/scoutsource/Media/InsigniaGuide/10F.aspx for both, but need an expert to confirm and edit. --Sparks1911 (talk) 21:09, 10 January 2010 (UTC)Reply
