C'mon Homeboy! Please don't be player hating! I'm not sure where to start with this article.. The concept of the diss song is an integral part of hip-hop culture, and this article fits in well with the articles on hip hop rivalries. To someone with no interest in hip hop, it may seem totally pointless, but to someone interested in learning more it would be quite useful. As for the original research problem... perhaps links to lyrics would do the trick. Some more about the history of the diss song in the intro would be good as well. Drett 01:22, 4 August 2006 (UTC)

Hm, it's still slang... On most places you'll find it spelled as diss.

List of diss songs

• I probably should have had this page on my watch list, but I just now had the unpleasant surprise of discovering that after the article "List of diss songs" was deleted here without any consensus to merge, it was simply replaced by User:Reinyday, who didn't even participate in the discussion. Now, I can assume good faith here and believe he was simply not aware of the AfD, but nevertheless, I have deleted the list and unless the list itself (and its contents) are restored via a deletion review, it should not be replaced. I'm quite upset at this backdoor attempt to get around a valid AfD. JuJube 04:17, 24 April 2007 (UTC)
