Reception

edit

If someone could dig up some positive reviews on last year's event, that would be much appreciated, because I searched for them online but was unable to find any. I would think that at least one reliable source has something good to say about Disney+ Day. InfiniteNexus (talk) 18:43, 3 June 2022 (UTC)Reply

I left the following feedback for the creator/future reviewers while reviewing this article: What is purpose of standalone article? Seems like a paragraph or two at best in Disney+ article would be appropriate.

@Slywriter: This event has been widely discussed by reliable sources, thus meeting notability requirements for a standalone article. It is also a recurring event akin to DC FanDome, so the article will likely expand significantly in the future. The Disney+ article is also rather long, so I don't think it's beneficial to add another section there. InfiniteNexus (talk) 16:43, 26 June 2022 (UTC)Reply
And as Disney+ grows, so does notability of events such as this CreecregofLife (talk) 17:21, 26 June 2022 (UTC)Reply
I concur with InfiniteNexus' and CreecregofLife's assessments on this, especially as it is similar to DC FanDome and will have more content and coverage to discuss as it occurs each year on. Trailblazer101 (talk) 17:24, 2 July 2022 (UTC)Reply
It’s almost like an upfront, but the most public. The fact that Investor Day presentations are practically public doesn’t detract from this, it’s another place to post progress on content development. Something that might have been close to reveal at SDCC on a D23 off year (specified because D+ Day this year is placed as D23 Day 0 this year) could get its reveal on D+ Day. Okay maybe that’s a little Crystal but not status-damaging; it’s still positioned as an important celebratory content reveal and packed release event. And FanDome, even if it doesn’t survive the formation of Warner Bros Discovery, is still notable despite being only existent for two years CreecregofLife (talk) 05:03, 3 July 2022 (UTC)Reply
