Merge proposal

edit

In my view, Discount window and Discount Rate are not the same, and should not be merged.

DW is an implementation detail of monetary policy (currently of great significance in US and European markets).

DR is a more fundamental accounting property/variable, with widespread use in financial maths/accounting for virtually any entity that is planning or recording their finances.

I agree, they are very, very different topics. I'm removing the tag since nobody is really discussing this further.—DMCer 08:30, 9 March 2008 (UTC)Reply

Recent changes to rate table does not make sense

edit

The numbers in the recent changes to rate table don't add up. I can't find a source for the Jan 16,2009 change so I don't know what to change it to. Thoughtbox (talk) 22:44, 3 February 2009 (UTC)Reply

Poor citation

edit

The first sentence is of dubious veracity, and cites to answer.com for support. Unless someone can find a better citation, this sentence should be removed. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.200.38.244 (talk) 14:27, 29 March 2011 (UTC)Reply
