I would NOT merge them. Digital (lat. for digit) means more than Internet. Thru the digital support for Marketing (processes, activities and media) you can communicate corporate messages (or other organizations) and product details (or other details) via electronically devices. You can use Marketing Management Support Systems to do marketing automatically and individually.

Digital marketing use management support systems like Integrated Marketing Management (IMM), Enterprise Content Management (ECM), Media Asset Management (MAM), Document Management System (DMS), Product Information Management (PIM), Customer Relationship Management (CRM), Marketing Resource Management (MRM), Translation Management System (TMS) and Business Performance Management (BPM).
