Wording

I think the wording of this article should be altered as I don't think the phrase "Mental Hospital" is really an acceptable phrase in today's society. Psychiatric Hospital would be more appropriate and acceptable. 94.192.241.209 (talk) 11:02, 1 June 2009 (UTC)

Mitchell & Smith

According to Colin G. Maggs, the station was opened in 1995, not in 1994 - he states that the first sod was cut in November 1994. I have the Mitchell & Smith book which was used as a ref for the 1994 opening date:

• Mitchell, Victor E.; Smith, Keith (1992). Branch Lines to Exmouth (Third reprint November 2005 ed.). Midhurst: Middleton Press. ISBN 1 873793 00 6. {{cite book}}: Unknown parameter |month= ignored (help)

Although mine is a 2005 reprint, not the 1992 original, I can't find any mention of Digby & Sowton in there. I can find one mention of Clyst St Mary & Digby Halt - in the caption to fig. 54. Accordingly, I've removed the Mitchell & Smith ref from the opening of D&S - if reinserting, please give figure (picture) number for the fact concerned. --Redrose64 (talk) 16:53, 29 October 2010 (UTC)

Digby and Sowton railway station → Digby & Sowton railway station – Station is named with ampersand per Great Western Railway and National Rail thus article name should reflect per MOS:&. Madditron (talk) 01:45, 29 May 2023 (UTC)

• Support. Common usage is mixed, but all the images I can find of the totem and signage at the station use the ampersand. Thryduulf (talk) 09:18, 29 May 2023 (UTC)
