Missing codes edit

"A differential non-linearity greater than 1 LSB may lead to a non-monotonic transfer function in a DAC.[1] It is also known as a missing code." However, a later section states that "If the DNL of an ADC is smaller than -1, missing codes appear in the transfer function, i.e. there are codes for which there is no input voltage to get the at the ADC output." This seems to be due to difference between DACs and ADCs, which doesn't seem to be clearly stated. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2607:B400:800:30:EC14:77A2:658B:9DAF (talk) 21:40, 20 February 2019 (UTC)Reply

External link added edit

Today I added a link to a Maxim Application Note. Is this sufficient to remove the stub tag? IMHO we can now remove the stub tag. Michilans (talk) 08:01, 26 May 2009 (UTC)Reply

Unnecessary definition edit

This article is about differential nonlinearity. The definition of differential linearity is unnecessary and it should be removed or, at a minimum, not be bold since it's secondary to differential nonlinearity.
