As an alternative to a merger, we could re-name this article Diesel locomotives of Sri Lanka and keep the article Locomotives of Sri Lanka Railways as an umbrella article for both steam and diesel locomotives. Please give your views. Biscuittin (talk) 16:30, 3 September 2011 (UTC)

Good idea: rename it as Diesel locomotives of Sri Lanka, thus providing a more in-dept coverage of diesel locomotives, while still having the umbrella article for a more general look at all locomotives. Tropicalsundae (talk) 18:57, 6 September 2011 (UTC)
