Merger proposal

edit

Recommending the merger of the two individual films of the Die Nibelungen into this single article, as they are most often referred to by the duology name as opposed to the individual parts. Combined with the fact that the two articles have been stubs for the longest time, and with a recent edit out that combines them both into a single film, it would be best to combine them into one. Thoughts?--み使い Mitsukai 18:37, 7 August 2006 (UTC)Reply

I was thinking that after I unfortunatly created both these pages. Hmm...If there were more information about the films seperatly I would be inclined to merge them immediatly. There should at least be a plot outline for the both of them made before the merge is done. And I still think they need seperate infoboxes...yep, otherwise I'd be okay with it!--Andrzejbanas 8 August 2006

I strongly agree. Both films should be merged into this article, and these pages should redirect to Die Nibelungen. Finell (Talk) 02:09, 3 February 2007 (UTC)Reply

Question. Both films are listed as having a run-time of 143 minutes. Is that the total runtime, or is each film of this length? (I find it unlikely the runtimes would match to the minute!)

Also I think the source of the film storyline should be listed, particularly since it diverges from the more famous version in Wagner's operas. Doesn't it follow the medieval Niebelungenlied? CharlesTheBold 24.30.124.40 13:17, 28 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

Vague

"A transformation sequence from Die Nibelungen: Siegfried" Its kind of annoying, when, what in the movie does that image refer to? you could cite [fig 1] in the plot summary, or be more specific in the caption. very irritating.. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 208.191.253.97 (talk) 06:18, 27 July 2011 (UTC)Reply

Expansion/Missing Information

edit

This article is poorly developed, consisting mostly of a plot summary. This article is also missing important information on the film's production, release, reception and legacy which needs to be added to the article, with each piece of information must be properly sourced. It is really sad the state of this article considering its significance and more attention must be given to this article so that it meets Wikipiedia's guidelines and standards of a well developed and properly sourced article.--Paleface Jack (talk) 18:09, 7 November 2016 (UTC)Reply
