@Krishna Chaitanya Velaga: Hi. I have started work as I know that this is already in the GAN queue.
Can I check that it is the Indian Army convention to label battalions as "1st Battalion of 8 Gorkha Rifles"? In other countries it would be "1st Battalion, 8 Gorkha Rifles". Gog the Mild (talk) 12:46, 18 February 2018 (UTC)Reply
There is no specific regulation, for consistency, please use the latter one. Regards, Krishna Chaitanya Velaga (talk • mail) 09:55, 20 February 2018 (UTC)Reply
Is there anything at all you could insert about his military career between 1949 and 1962?
"The army's concern was that the Chinese had a geographical advantage." It would be helpful to be able to know, briefly, just what that advantage was. (Height, better supply lines, forward bases, something else?) Gog the Mild (talk) 13:40, 18 February 2018 (UTC)Reply
They had advantage because of their well established forward bases. Regards, Krishna Chaitanya Velaga (talk • mail) 09:55, 20 February 2018 (UTC)Reply
At one point you say the the base was on the side of a lake; later the Chinese attack from the river side. It should be either a lake or a river.
A couple of things which aren't copy edit issues but which may come up at GA review:
The article is not very NPoV, eg "Chinese encroachment into Indian territory" rather than "Chinese incursions into disputed territory held by India" etc.
All of that said, it is a very nice article, you have done a good job, and it was a pleasure working on it. Gog the Mild (talk) 19:55, 18 February 2018 (UTC)Reply

@Wrdchaser:. The available source Stories of Heroism: PVC & MVC Winners-page 79 says the subject was born on 10 April 1928. Your changes to the birth month from April to June here is constituting original research. Unless you can provide a WP:HISTRS compliant and/or a reliable government/army source here, the changes will be reverted. Also per WP:RS rules, no blogs, social media links are allowed. - Fylindfotberserk (talk) 12:17, 10 April 2021 (UTC)Reply
Waited for 10 days. Wrdchaser did bot engaging in discussion. Revering back to sourced version. - Fylindfotberserk (talk) 07:46, 20 April 2021 (UTC)Reply
