Capitalism?

The statement "In this form of capitalism" does not match the definition provided by the link.

In the link capitalism is described as " an economic system in which the means of production are privately owned and operated for a private profit; decisions regarding supply, demand, price, distribution, and investments are made by private actors in the market rather than by central planning by the government" - which I agree is an excellant definition

But this article is about a form of economy where the government forces development in certain industries. Surely not a form of capitalism? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 202.50.184.138 (talk) 22:32, 1 November 2010 (UTC)Reply

Evaluation

edit

After reading and evaluating the Wiki article titled Developmental state, I found that the article was both in depth and filled with interesting facts which were supported by a multitude of sources. Although, I do wish that there were more listed examples to compare and contrast different countries. The links were all very useful and were up to date. I feel some countries were overrepresented compared to others, but this could be fixed with the addition of more examples. No bias was found.
