Fair use rationale for Image:DestinyFulfilled2.JPG

edit

Image:DestinyFulfilled2.JPG is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

GA review – see WP:WIAGA for criteria

This article is in decent shape, but it needs more work before it becomes a Good Article.

  1. Is it well written?
    A. The prose is clear and concise, and the spelling and grammar are correct:
In the Production section, it would be best to mention "Beyoncé Knowles" first and then mention "Beyoncé" instead of having it the other way around.
You mean in this part: Destiny's Child took the role of executive producing alongside their manager, Mathew Knowles. Beyoncé Knowles, who vocal produce the songs, commented that it was important for her to make sure their voices are audible and identifiable. I used her whole name because it would confuse the readers if I will only use Knowles knowing that it is preceded with Mathew Knowles. --Efe (talk) 12:21, 12 September 2008 (UTC)Reply
Yeah, that's the sentence, but it makes look strange when you mention "Beyoncé" first and then mention "Beyoncé Knowles". But, I guess this should be towards the reader, so check. --  ThinkBlue  (Hit BLUE) 15:45, 12 September 2008 (UTC)Reply
    B. It complies with the manual of style guidelines for lead sections, layout, words to watch, fiction, and list incorporation:
Dates need to be un-linked, per here.
    Delinked. --Efe (talk) 12:28, 12 September 2008 (UTC)Reply
    Check. --  ThinkBlue  (Hit BLUE) 15:45, 12 September 2008 (UTC)Reply
  2. Is it verifiable with no original research, as shown by a source spot-check?
    A. It contains a list of all references (sources of information), presented in accordance with the layout style guideline:
    B. Reliable sources are cited inline. All content that could reasonably be challenged, except for plot summaries and that which summarizes cited content elsewhere in the article, must be cited no later than the end of the paragraph (or line if the content is not in prose):
Is there a source for this ---> "Destiny's Child took the role of executive producing alongside their manager, Mathew Knowles. Beyoncé Knowles, who vocal produce the songs, commented that it was important for her to make sure their voices are audible and identifiable. Taking it as one of her goal, the group decided to focus on mid-tempo songs and few on dance and ballads—which they considered people cannot sing with. The group worked on the album within three weeks"?
    Supported by a single source. --Efe (talk) 12:21, 12 September 2008 (UTC)Reply
    Check. --  ThinkBlue  (Hit BLUE) 15:45, 12 September 2008 (UTC)Reply
    C. It contains no original research:
    D. It contains no copyright violations nor plagiarism:
  3. Is it broad in its coverage?
    A. It addresses the main aspects of the topic:
    B. It stays focused on the topic without going into unnecessary detail (see summary style):
  4. Is it neutral?
It represents viewpoints fairly and without editorial bias, giving due weight to each:
  5. Is it stable?
It does not change significantly from day to day because of an ongoing edit war or content dispute:
  6. Is it illustrated, if possible, by images?
    A. Images are tagged with their copyright status, and valid non-free use rationales are provided for non-free content:
    B. Images are relevant to the topic, and have suitable captions:
  7. Overall:
    Pass or Fail:
If the above statements can be answered, I will pass the article. Good luck with improving this article!

I think I have addressed all your concerns. Thank you. --Efe (talk) 12:21, 12 September 2008 (UTC)Reply
You're welcome and I would like to thank Efe for getting the stuff I left at the talkpage and for explaining other stuff, because I have gone off and passed it to GA. Congrats. ;) --  ThinkBlue  (Hit BLUE) 15:45, 12 September 2008 (UTC)Reply
