Most recent anonymous edit has the comment "(Corrected founding history - company actually had two founders (search for "Anil Sabharwal Desire2Learn" and you'll find a number of older references to both of them when the company first started))" ---- No you don't. All the references to Anil Sabharwal are sourced from Wikipedia?!?

Actually, not true:

Desire2Learn was founded in 1999 by John Baker and Anil Sabharwal, both recent grads from the University of Waterloo. What began in Kitchener as the brainchild of two bright students has grown into a leading edge e-learning solutions company whose software is used at more than 450 institutions around the world.

Desire2Learn.com is an Internet education company started by two University of Waterloo graduates, Anil Sabharwal and John Baker. The company has contracts across North America, including a deal to develop the University of Guelph’s online MBA programme. Hi all, I my opinion as someone that works in the industry (Matt Clare http://www.brocku.ca/ctlet/about-ctlet/staff ), authored the CEO John_Baker_(entrepreneur)'s article and is NOT a client, the article about Desire2Learn is need. They are a big company in the North American's eLearning industry and were involved in the largest patent infringement lawsuit in the industry. Blackboard Inc. sued Desire2Learn, technically won, and then on March 25, 2008, the US patent office issued a non-final action rejecting all 44 claims of Blackboard's patent.. In fact this article is linked from Blackboard_Inc.#Blackboard_legal_issues.

This article needs more information about the patent lawsuit, as it does read a little like promotion material. I'll look around.

Origin of Company's Strange Name?

Do any of you dudes know where the company's name came from? I am not an English speaker (or whatever they speak in Canada ), but I always thought that in a phrase like "desire 2 [sic] learn," the "to" is a preposition and spelled out as such. In this case there appears to have been some sort of confusion with the homonym. It would seem that this confusion is significant and should be included in the article. 2013 outage

Currently, there is information in this article about a service outage experienced by this company. Such information doesn't belong in an encyclopedia article unless it is something of enduring interest that significantly adds to a reader's understanding of the topic. This is not a news article and I propose removing the material pending further discussion. ElKevbo (talk) 19:29, 1 February 2013 (UTC)

University of Waterloo Digital Experience Innovation Community

Another editor is insisting that this article include a mention of "The Digital Experience Innovation Community at the University of Waterloo Stratford Campus [which] was established on the Desire2Learn platform." I don't see how this adds to a reader's understanding of this topic and remain convinced that it should be removed. Can other editors please comment or contribute to this discussion? Thanks!
