This claim has been discredited already. The official speed trap figure for the 917 was 362 km/h or 225 mph.

It doesn't stop Bell from telling the story but it isn't verifiable and is not a very important part of the article. It should be removed. I'll give it the customary two weeks. Flanker235 (talk) 12:39, 26 June 2018 (UTC)
