@Narky Blert:

Noting Hoggie's RfD closure as disambiguate, DPL bot has kindly told us that there are over 30 inlinks to this new disambiguation page to dabfix. ;-)

What's the easiest script you use to do this?

Cheers,

Comment I've created Department of Highways (disambiguation) as a redirect to the new disambiguation page. Doug Mehus T·C 19:18, 20 February 2020 (UTC)Reply
@Dmehus: The bot has two component parts: (1) Special:WhatLinksHere/Department of Highways and (2) the space between your ears. The next time User:DPL bot runs, which could be anytime now, DPWL will be updated, and produce a friendlier list than the Special:WLH one. "Colon" pages (Draft:, Talk:, User:, Wikipedia: and so on can be ignored.
There are some semi-automated ways of fixing lots of links; but in every case, a human decision needs to be made. Ancient redirects can collect whole piles of garbage. When vinyl was turned into a DAB page, at least 2,500 links needed fixing. Only about 10% of them related to vinyl group, the former target; the rest were mostly split between gramophone records, floor tiles, and coverings.
I don't use any of the tools, they don't fit in with my way of working; which is to attack DAB pages with only one or two links. Around half of those can be fixed at sight; the rest need some sort of search, because the answer isn't on the DAB page (or if it is, needs confirmation).
If you come across a link to a DAB page which you don't know how to fix, tag it {{dn}}. That puts the article into Category:Articles with links needing disambiguation for maximum publicity.
Good move creating the (disambiguation) redirect; those are always needed. I create one or two missing ones a day. Yrs, Narky Blert (talk) 19:49, 20 February 2020 (UTC)Reply
@Dmehus: 83 links. I expect they'll be fixed by tomorrow. Narky Blert (talk) 10:24, 21 February 2020 (UTC)Reply
Narky Blert, Yeah, most of them to be Ontario road articles, eh? Doug Mehus T·C 17:25, 21 February 2020 (UTC)Reply
@Dmehus: I see what you did there, I'm not easily caught out. Narky Blert (talk) 17:39, 21 February 2020 (UTC)Reply
