Denton railway station(Lincolnshire) edit

I have been unable to find any record of a passenger service to this station on a branch from Bottesford. I agree it was used for freight but unsure of the closure. Can anyone confirm if a passenger service operated and the closure date. If freight only please amend the headings to freight only or goods station only.Steamybrian2 (talk) 14:57, 17 April 2013 (UTC)Reply

Possible stuff edit

  • [1] (Mid document - See also [2] & [3] for context and other stuff) seems to indicate a "Denton Halt" on the "Woolsthorpe Branch". I see stuff here but I'm not sure in my head how it all fits together and google maps is not helping me. I believe some Denton was heavilty associated with the Great Northern Railway in early and I had postulated if they had a railway built to their manor .... I don't now "think" this is the case and pursuance is a goose chase. All options open here and a possible redirect to a non-existant? Woolsthorpe Branch (which might also be known as the Ironstone railway. See also [4] and [5]. I think some of this is relevant and I've jotted it here but my head isn't round it and doesn't grog it currently. Thankyou. Djm-leighpark (talk) 09:11, 26 June 2021 (UTC)Reply

PROD notes edit

I nominated this article for deletion with the following note: This article is not notable nor verifiable and it has no reliable sources. There is reference to Denton Agricultural siding in Jowett (1989, p70) and Denton siding in BR pre-grouping atlas (p16) and the 1904 Handbook of stations (p160) but no reference to a station of any kind. Nor is there sign of a station on any of the mapping available at National Library of Scotland. It was deproded. I still can not find any evidence of a station, goods or otherwise, the branch certainly existed. Nempnet (talk) 14:17, 1 July 2021 (UTC)Reply
