Image copyright problem with Image:Original Voivod lineup.jpg edit

The image Image:Original Voivod lineup.jpg is used in this article under a claim of fair use, but it does not have an adequate explanation for why it meets the requirements for such images when used here. In particular, for each page the image is used on, it must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Please check

  • That there is a non-free use rationale on the image's description page for the use in this article.
  • That this article is linked to from the image description page.

Year of birth edit

Born in 1950? So that makes him 58 today. I really doubt that. The link doesn't say much except that there is a Denis Bélanger who's born in 1950. Might as well be some other D.B., probably this one here [1]. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 80.133.200.184 (talk) 15:20, 12 December 2008 (UTC)Reply

I was thinking similar thoughts as well. The source which lists 1950 as his year of birth is completely wrong, or they must have written his year of birth by mistake. If he was born in 1950, that means he would have been older than every one else in Voivod. When he cut the first Voivod album War and Pain in 1984, that would've made him only 34, and if you listen to that album, you'll realize that he certainly doesn't sound like a man in his mid-30s singing. Also, if you look at that picture of him with Voivod in 1988, you'll realize he doesn't look like an old man. Furthermore, it seems that the original lineup had members who were in the same age bracket as Piggy (b. 1959). Away and Blacky were born in 1961 and 1962, respectively. I mean, it's hard to imagine a bunch of people in their early 20s forming a band (in 1982) with a person in their 30s. I assume he was born about 10 years after 1950. Related to Daniel Bélanger? edit

I'm just wondering if anyone out there knows: could Denis Bélanger possibly be related to Daniel Bélanger, another Québécois musician close to the same age? beerslayer (talk) 13:50, 2 March 2009 (UTC)Reply
