No Theory edit

The theory is not explained AdrianLaTraceJr 01:10, 21 November 2006 (UTC)Reply

That's why it's a wiki. 24.34.142.194 03:03, 17 March 2007 (UTC)Reply

Merge this article into Socialism with Chinese characteristics

The "theory" works as "thoughts" if you put the context into consideration. Unlike Mao, who wrote tons of articles explaining how he reached the conclusion, Deng just used brief words telling his men what he wants. Those directions, orders, conference records etc. were collected and carefully reviewed then published after Deng stepped down officially in 1989 (though he remained the most powerful person) and adopted as the CPC's official policy. It covers a wide range from foreign policy to economic reform. Deng used simple sentences to describe his thoughts, so Deng's theory ends up with a list of barely related simple sentences. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 128.173.188.35 (talk) 19:08, 23 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

That is only partly true. The Communist Party has an official doctrine explicitly stating the elements of Deng Xiaoping Theory. It is not only a social system, but has other things such as one country, two systems, as well. As a result this cannot directly be merged into Socialism with Chinese characteristics. "It is glorious to get rich" edit

I can't find this in any of the Deng related or Socialism with Chinese characteristics articles, although it's well known enough. 72.228.177.92 (talk) 21:16, 31 July 2010 (UTC)Reply
