Parents

I changed the line about parents taking care of their children so their children will take care of them in their old age to parents taking care of their parents so that their children will take care of them in their old age. The first effect exists, but is usually called the "refrigerator" effect, since one can feed fruit to children who will later provide fruit to their old parents. Removed text about India

This section was added by anonymous editors, and originally read "Goldman Sachs" instead of "Lehman Brothers". I was unable to substantiate it with a quick web search. Feel free to re-add if you can find a suitable reference.

Lehman Brothers believes that the demonstration effect is encouraging more domestic firms to set up in the information technology industry or increase research and development spending. It believes this is leading to an increase in the country's productivity, pushing India on the way to 10% growth, alongside a number of other factors such as the Golden Quadrilateral and a rise in the financial sector.
