Density

Is it me or is this article obsessesed about density comparison.Thai provinces? -- Steenies

All the comparisons are just confusing; they convey no real information about Dutch demographics. I believe they should just be simplified down to a "# nations are more dense than the Netherlands" and continue on with relevant material. 128.253.240.145 13:10, 6 September 2007 (UTC)
You can make it more balanced by adding other sections.--Patrick 08:45, 27 Jul 2004 (UTC)

But what is TFR, mentioned in para starting 'In 2003...'? 131.170.90.4 (talk) 12:37, 2 September 2008 (UTC)
Some could be moved to population density, the Netherlands is a somewhat arbitrary reference point in considering large, densely populated provinces throughout the world.--Patrick 12:05, 27 Jul 2004 (UTC)

TFR Rates

"50.5% of the total births in 2011 were to parents of non-European origin, although they account for 2.15.% of the population in the 25-34 age group. For example, 38% of the births were ethnic Moroccan, although they were only 2.26% of the 25-34 age group. Respective figures were 3.27% and 3.0% for Turks. The TFR for Moroccans".. continues. Clearly impossible. Have also checked the referred documents.

According to Statistics Netherlands, for the year 2007, TFR for those who were born in Netherlands was 0.72[7] (0.65 in 2000). TFR of Moroccan immigrants was 5.87 (3.22 in 2000) and that of Turkish immigrants was 3.88 (2.18 in 2000). [8] — Preceding unsigned comment added by Troya19 (talkcontribs) 01:39, 7 July 2011 (UTC)

That should be 1.72 not 0.72.--MWAK (talk) 15:14, 12 October 2017 (UTC)

table overlap

The cities of Netherlands table/template is misplaced. Seems to cover a portion of other data or text. An editor with more technical knowledge than I needs to fix. Thanks. --S. Rich (talk) 04:42, 22 October 2011 (UTC)

Hiving off migration information to separate articles?

I'd like to propose that the migration information here be hived off to two separate articles: "Dutch emigration" (perhaps subsumed into the current article on "Dutch diaspora") and "Dutch immigration" (or perhaps "Ethnic minorities in the Netherlands"). The subject of immigration to the Netherlands has attracted the interest of the world in recent years. And of course the subject of emigration from the Netherlands is interesting to the Dutch diaspora.

There is an interesting article on "immigration policy" on Dutch Wikipeda that could be the basis for this, but unfortunately much of it is unfootnoted so only part of it would be useful: http://nl.wikipedia.org/wiki/Immigratiebeleid_(Nederland) Schildewaert (talk) 07:39, 26 November 2011 (UTC)
