References and notability edit

On 11 April 2008 I nominated this article for deletion due to notability concerns. Administrator Cobaltbluetony declined speedy ("notability asserted"). Since the speedy was declined, I thought I would spend some more time trying to improve this article, in case I missed some obvious info.

I added the missing reflist tag so the references added by the article creator would display (they were all references from the company site). I have spent some time researching for information to improve the quality of this article. So far, I have found many releases by Delta Scientific or related industry sources, PR, etc. using those releases or information from their site.

I am having trouble finding information satisfying the general notability guideline "If a topic has received significant coverage in reliable sources that are independent of the subject, it is presumed to be notable." (If I am overlooking something in the general notability guidelines, please educate me.)

As this article stands, the only references are from the company's own web site. I can not seem to find information from reliable sources that are independent of the subject. I am hoping perhaps the article creator or other contributors might be able to either include some references, or give advice on where to find this information. Repair edit

I went in and removed all absolutes from the article and toned it down to sound more encyclopedic. The only absolute left was the "world's leading manufacturer of vehicle control systems" since this statement was repeated by more than one source, including the government of the City of Palmdale. This absolute is in itself what makes the company notable. The world is a big place. To be the "world's (anything)" is worthy enough for a Wikipedia article. Also added were reference source links to information about the company other than from the company itself. --Jeremywagg (talk) 20:34, 17 April 2008 (UTC)Reply
