Roosevelts

We have sources which says FDR and TR were members. However, @65.112.8.19 suggests this info is incorrect. Does anyone know of an older or scholarly source that confirms this connection? I suspect 65.112.8.19 is correct here because my research confirms their removal of Brooks Newmark was correct. (Newmark was on the Delphic Club member list based on unsourced content in his Wikipedia article. I was able to find a list of his Harvard activities and updated both his article and this article). But I think FDR and TR should remain in this article until we can disprove the sources. Rublamb (talk) 16:46, 5 March 2024 (UTC)

It looks like FDR was in Fly Club and TR was in the Porcellian. No mention of Delphic anywhere but the one source (a radio station), so I will remove them from the article for now. Rublamb (talk) 17:09, 5 March 2024 (UTC)

Removed for lack of proof

I am removing the following from the list of notable members because there is no source to prove the connection (either in this article or their main article). These individuals can be restored once a source is found.

• Hilary Smart, sailor and gold medalist at the 1948 Summer Olympics
• Regis Henri Post, Governor of Puerto Rico
• Frank L. McNamara Jr., United States Attorney for the District of Massachusetts
• Vinton Freedley, theater and television producer
• Raymond Emerson, civil engineer, investment banker, and faculty at the Peabody Museum of Archaeology and Ethnology
• Bronson M. Cutting, United States senator from New Mexico
• Michel de Carvalho, Olympic skier and luger, and child actor in films such as The Brave One, The Tin Star, and Lawrence of Arabia
• Richard E. Byrd III, United States Navy officer, Antarctic explorer, and the son of Admiral Richard E. Byrd (Another REB III who is living is a member; is this an incorrect link?)
• Dick Button, two-time Olympic figure skating champion and five-time world champion
• Chester C. Bolton, U.S. Representative from Ohio
• Nicholas Abruzzese, professional ice hockey player with the Toronto Maple Leafs
• Edward Streeter is the author of Father of the Bride and a follow up book Father's Little Dividend. These books were the source for the famous 1950 Vincent Minelli movie starring Spencer Tracy, two movies starring Steve Martin and TV series
