what does defy mean

[the obvious use of "Defiance"] edit

albeit i did get here looking for the TV show, but it seems we missed the obvious use of "Defiance" here - the actual action! (i.e. committing an act of defiance, the act of willful disobedience) - added link to Defiance (act) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Kterayygrsth (talkcontribs) 04:54, 8 May 2013 (UTC)Reply

In other words, you are looking for a dictionary definition of "defiance"--but Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, not a dictionary. The disambiguation page does, however, included a link to the Wiktionary entry for "defiance", which should answer your concern.--ShelfSkewed Talk 13:36, 8 May 2013 (UTC)Reply
