Jardine water treatment center

Inaccuracies

The article currently implies there's only one small lodge at the south end of the island. A cursory examination of satellite images at Google Maps reveals intact roofs of three or more additional buildings around the perimeter of the island and the walls of one ruined building. Possible Inaccuracies?

This article says Deer Island "is owned entirely by the Russell Trust Association and is used as a Skull and Bones retreat."

However, the Russell Trust Association page says IRS filings of the association state "According to a 2012 filing with the IRS, the Russell Trust Association (filing as RTA Incorporated) has assets of $4,226,091, including the structure at 64 High St. in New Haven, Connecticut."

It need hardly be said that if the entire assets of the RTA are 4mil (which includes the substantial building at Yale) then it couldn't also own Deer Island which undoubtedly is worth a lot more than 4 million dollars.

Perhaps the answer is also in the RTA page which says "Social organizations connected to the Russell Trust network include Deer Island Club, which also operates as a corporation."

Could it be that Deer Island is actually owned by the Deer Island Club (perhaps through a corporation or some other structure) and is merely an associated entity?

If anyone has the actual details it would be good to edit this article and the russell trust association page, to make things clear. Leecharleswalker (talk) 06:21, 18 December 2016 (UTC)
