Decoy Scorpionfish

I'm not a biologist, nor an experienced Wikipedian, just a friend of the photographer of this image. I would like to draw a connection between the photo and this text in the article:

...Like many other members of the family Scorpaenidae, I. signifer can actively change the color of their bodies in response to their environment. This behavior usually involves displaying more dull colors when attempting to camouflage itself, and flashing brighter colors in the presence of a predator...

Presumably the bright orange color of this individual is a reaction to the diver's presence or his light. I'd like to know how to make that explicit in the article. BananaSlug (talk) 18:59, 1 January 2024 (UTC)Reply
