A suggestion for organization

edit

I think the article reads like more of a persuasive essay of the theoretical applications regarding death anxiety. I think it would read stronger if the article was organized in terms of historical relevancy and a timeline of the psychological norms would make the article feel more scientific and less journalistic. 67.61.16.232 (talk) 06:57, 17 January 2023 (UTC)Reply

Religiosity Subtopic can be Combined

edit

Every paragraph in this section was just talking about a study. This section has a potential to have less paragraph and more brevity. Jonb03 (talk) 22:00, 17 February 2023 (UTC)Reply

In general, this topic needs more reference

edit

Outside from seeming to be a persuasive essay, there are so man statements that need references for credibility purposes. In addition, the entire article can have more brevity. Jonb03 (talk) 20:55, 1 March 2023 (UTC)Reply

More sources and organization

edit

It seems like this article is moving in the right direction, but I think that it needs more improvement on the citations, specifically in adding secondary citations.  There are multiple sections where each topic only has one citation supporting it.  There are also sections that begin with or include leading sentences. Organization and possible topic suggestion

edit

I think this article is off to a great start and has done a good job covering some of the psychological aspects of death anxiety. Some suggestions for this article include updating the lead to include the main topics as I noticed that the death row phenomena and adult attachments were not included at the beginning. I am also wondering if it a little redundant to have a section on sex in addition to age and gender, it might be easier to read and more concise if those sections are reorganized. Another possible idea is to include a historical aspect of what death anxiety has looked like in the past and how those perceptions have changed throughout time. For this same assignment I would also like to include an idea of adding information from Irvin Yalom, he has a published book related to his years of therapy and helping people cope with their death anxiety. Sho17001 (talk) 07:03, 23 January 2024 (UTC)Reply

"Death Anxiety and COVID-19"

edit

Not sure if this merits an entire heading in this article - it smacks a bit of recentism. The section may be better served in the article about the COVID-19 pandemic, possibly as a subsection of the impact section? It could, also, belong in a few of the other articles surrounding the impact of the pandemic. That being said, if we're walking recentism here, the density of those articles may be a bit much - do all of these articles really merit inclusion, or do we just have all of them to have them because we share the same chapter of history with it?
