Storylines edit

Why are there two paragraphs to tell the character's storylines from January 2006 to February 2008, yet from April 2014 to February 2015 there are three paragraphs, mostly filled with fluff? Matthewedwards (talk · contribs) 20:05, 31 March 2015 (UTC)Reply

When characters are in the show, people tend to update regularly and add minute details that are not necessary. Every so often, someone will come along and cut it down. This needs to be done. Sometimes people look at the cut down versions and assume information is missing, and insert all the fluff again. AnemoneProjectors 14:45, 4 January 2016 (UTC)Reply

Has he left yet? edit

Was 1 January Dean's final episode, because he was arrested by police and taken away but it hasn't been confirmed that he's left yet. Should we list him as former or present? SamLaws81101 (talk) 11:17, 3 January 2016 (UTC)Reply

I believe that was his departure, here's one source that says "Matt Di Angelo bows out of the soap in an explosive New Year’s Day double bill" [1]. This one talks about his "dramatic Christmas exit" [2] and the Christmas period in EastEnders extends to 1 January. I believe it was widely publicised that his exit would be at Christmas. so former. Oh but this! [3] What are the chances Di Angelo is trying to mislead? AnemoneProjectors 10:45, 3 January 2016 (UTC)Reply

I'd say he's trying to mislead, as he doesn't appear in the credits of any episode for the next two weeks. It's still a bit confusing though, I guess we'll have to wait and see. SamLaws81101 (talk) 11:19, 3 January 2016 (UTC)Reply

Didn't they say that about Janine's Christmas exit a few years back, then she appeared months later for the trial. ThisIsDanny (talk) 18:55, 3 January 2016 (UTC)Reply
They may have any trial off-screen though. That's if there is even a trial. As Roxy is not around the police may not be able to do anything.--5 albert square (talk) 18:59, 3 January 2016 (UTC)Reply
I would suggest listing him as gone for now, and if we find out he actually is returning for a trial or some other reason, then we can add him as returning. Assuming Dean was interviewed, charged and then not given bail, his trial will probably be more than two weeks away. Not being in credits doesn't mean he's not in the episodes! AnemoneProjectors 11:44, 4 January 2016 (UTC)Reply
Presumably now he's left! I suspect he was missing from the credits so we might think he would die on 1 January. Same reason Claudette hasn't been credited online since Christmas. AnemoneProjectors 08:05, 5 January 2016 (UTC)Reply

I hope he doesn't make another suprise reappearance. SamLaws81101 (talk) 17:02, 5 January 2016 (UTC)Reply

I would say that Di Angelo's teaser was definitely about that last appearance in prison. His entire family have disowned Dean now, so there's no reason for him to come back - until he's served his sentence and decides to terrorise the Carters again in probably about 2 years' time! :-) AnemoneProjectors 10:49, 6 January 2016 (UTC)Reply

Dean is due to return in February. It's in several spoiler magazines and spoiler pictures of this are due out on Tuesday. We shouldn't make assumptions of his final scenes until confirmed. — Preceding unsigned comment added by TommyGiffen (talkcontribs) 15:34, 20 January 2016 (UTC)Reply

Next Tuesday? There was no mention of it in this week's Inside Soap, or any of last week's soap magazines. We were told he was leaving at Christmas, so as far as we are concerned with reliable sources at the moment, he's left. If we find out he's coming back, we'll put it as a return. AnemoneProjectors 15:37, 21 January 2016 (UTC)Reply

Yep. And as you can see the Soap Scoop released them early :) — Preceding unsigned comment added by TommyGiffen (talkcontribs)

The EastEnders website had them at midnight on Sunday, that was the first place I saw them. Anyway, I said we'd put it as a return but we can leave it as it is :) AnemoneProjectors 16:56, 26 January 2016 (UTC)Reply

The EastEnders website says his last appearance was 5th February. Should we update the article? SamLaws81101 (talk) 23:06, 6 February 2016 (UTC)Reply

If they say it is, then yes. Someone has said on the actor's page that he's returning in June, but we can't possibly know that at this stage. AnemoneProjectors 21:35, 7 February 2016 (UTC)Reply

After August 2016 edit

Hi Aneonome, sorry to bother you, but could you have a look at the final storyline paragraph describing events? It's been written by someone whose first language is not English, and the show has only just got up to this point for me, so I don't feel competent to fix this myself. Or revert it, given it may be accurate. ZarhanFastfire (talk) 02:22, 9 April 2017 (UTC) Here it is:Reply

On Christmas Eve, Linda called Dean to forgive him for raping her, and in 2017, Mick later called him and forgive him for what he has done to the family, and also mentions this that Lee was the one who rob the Queen Vic and Babe evil actions for what she has done, and told him to not let Babe in in his home, for which he accepted. In March, Shirley called him that she was in prison due to Babe actions.
Hi ZarhanFastfire, I never got your ping unfortunately! But that is fanfiction - Linda and Mick have never forgiven Dean or had any contact with him since he left. anemoneprojectors 17:38, 19 April 2017 (UTC)Reply
