Is should be capitalized in the title.

The result of the proposal was 'Is' with capital as per WP:MOSTM. Anthony Appleyard (talk) 22:37, 28 June 2009 (UTC) Dead Is Dead → Dead is Dead — Publisher's choice versus WP:MOSTM. Please get this decided. Anthony Appleyard (talk) 09:04, 16 June 2009 (UTC)
- Proper title capitalization rules dictate that "Is" should be capitalized as it is a verb. I am unsure on how to edit the topic title though, so I request someone fix it. TheÐarkCrusader (talk) 05:10, 26 March 2009 (UTC)
- ABC's press release uses a lower case i, just as they did for "This Place is Death".[1] --Jackieboy87 (talk · contribs) 11:02, 26 March 2009 (UTC)
- Oppose. Per WP:MOSTM, the publisher's choice is irrelevant. "Follow standard English text formatting and capitalization rules even if the trademark owner considers nonstandard formatting 'official'." Jafeluv (talk) 16:21, 16 June 2009 (UTC)
- I've just opened a discussion for moving This Place is Death to the capitalized title. Jafeluv (talk) 16:36, 16 June 2009 (UTC)
- Oppose capitalization [Support]. When did it become "standard English" to capitalize two-letter words? –thedemonhog talk • edits 19:07, 16 June 2009 (UTC)
- Support move back to original title, as nominator. The move did not have consensus in the first place and was previously denied by an administrator. To the one who quoted "Follow standard English text formatting...", I say where is it stated that capitalizing "is" is standard? Different publications have different standards on this issue (see this article); I have not found a single policy or guideline that definitively states Wikipedia's preference in this matter. This is why I have pushed for the articles to follow the publisher's format. --Jackieboy87 (talk · contribs) 20:05, 16 June 2009 (UTC)
- Wikipedia:Naming conventions (capitalization): "In general, each word in English titles of books, films, and other works takes an initial capital, except for articles ("a", "an", "the"), the word "to" as part of an infinitive, prepositions and coordinating conjunctions shorter than five letters (e.g., "on", "from", "and", "with"), unless they begin or end a title or subtitle. Examples: A New Kind of Science, Ghost in the Shell, To Be or Not to Be." Jafeluv (talk) 10:47, 19 June 2009 (UTC)
- Oppose. Should fall under WP:MOS-TM; we should favor our rules for standardization over the preferences of the publisher for that reason. Dekimasuよ! 15:20, 22 June 2009 (UTC)
- The above discussion is preserved as an archive of the proposal. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on this talk page. No further edits should be made to this section.
Charles' orders
editHello, did Charles Widmore want Ben to kill both Danielle Rousseau and her daughter or only Danielle? I thought that Charles was only concerned about Danielle. LovesMacs (talk) 17:08, 9 April 2009 (UTC)
- At first, he may have only wanted Ben to kill Danielle, but after Ben brought Alex back, Charles clearly wanted her dead as well. --Jackieboy87 (talk · contribs) 19:58, 9 April 2009 (UTC)
