Would be better as a disambig or redirect to David Grisman edit

Is anyone really going to type in Dawg looking for an article about dogs? This doesn't make sense. It si much more likely that someone would be looking for the slang meaning or the nick name for Grisman. Consider the album with Doc Watson, "Doc and Dawg," or his work with Jerry Garcia, "Greatful Dawg." Some even prefer to call progressive bluegrass "Dawg Music." -MrFizyx 22:12, 5 June 2006 (UTC)Reply

This should include Dog the bounty hunter.

I added "See also: Dog (disambiguation)", which should cover it. -MrFizyx 21:32, 22 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

What was wrong? edit

Please let me know what was wrong with this sentence, which was removed. I have often seen the word "dawg" used in print this way. Thanks.

This is a disambiguation page--and one that sees a lot of vandalsim I might add. It should be kept free of anything that doesn't belong. Do you really think someone who comes to this page is looking for an article on "Southern White Americans"? -MrFizyx 15:45, 16 August 2007 (UTC)Reply
Would you object if the sentence was there without any links? I think the information is important for non-Americans to understand the other meanings of the word "dawg". Steve Dufour 16:16, 16 August 2007 (UTC)Reply
Well you haven't convinced me that this a traditon among "Southern Whites" (or even southern whites). This is more a use of eye dialect and not very important. Still I've added "dog" to the list and a link to wiktionary--the appropriate place for that sort of thing. -MrFizyx 17:25, 16 August 2007 (UTC)Reply
Thanks. Steve Dufour 23:58, 16 August 2007 (UTC)Reply
Wiktionary says: "Eye dialect spelling of dog." What do you think about that for the first thing on the list, rather than just "dog"? Steve Dufour 05:24, 18 August 2007 (UTC)Reply
I could live with that. -MrFizyx 03:10, 19 August 2007 (UTC)Reply
Thanks. I think that makes it a little easier for non-Americans to understand what's going on. I wikilinked "eye dialect" in case someone wants to check that article out. Steve Dufour 16:25, 19 August 2007 (UTC)Reply
