I knew David in the early 1980's not long after his work on the Water Margin and Space 1999. As a 15 year old, his daugter Fiona also 15 at the time was a childhood sweetheart (for what better way to describe it) an she was born around 1967. David also had a son Jason, born around 1969. David was divorced and spoke little about his ex wife. He lived with his daughter and son in Hampstead in the 1980's. We holidayed together during the summer of 1980 in Agadir and David spent much of his time out on his hotel balcony writing manuscripts.
