Picture

His current picture is artifacted and compressed to the point of being humorous. It looks like a painting almost. A painting done by a blind guy. A blind guy who'd never seen Spade. Only described.. by another person..who'd also never seen Spade. Suffice to say his picture looks like trash and needs to be changed. That is all. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 65.5.176.229 (talk) 10:15, 5 March 2019 (UTC)

That's not an excuse to vandalise the article. If you have a better freely-licensed picture, you are welcome to add it. I agree the quality is poor, but it's better than nothing. – Teratix 10:22, 5 March 2019 (UTC)

It was easiest to do to draw attention to the issue than to figure out the arcane process in doing it correctly, which I imagine to be long, daft, full of red tape and utterly boring. Entirely useless to learn if only to use once every half decade when I see something that rubs my rhubarb the wrong way. You seem to be doing a fantastic job of doing what I need done for me. Roll it back to what it was and remove the current for quality reasons. It is that bad. David Spade is funny, but his mere visage shouldn't make me laugh. It does.

Sorry, I didn't realise there were better images in the article! Not sure how I missed that. I've replaced it now. – Teratix 03:01, 19 March 2019 (UTC)

Thank you Teratix! :] I apologize for being a pain, and on reread of my last post I can't help but feel like I came off like a jackass. I am sorry, it was my intent to be facetious and somewhat tongue-in-cheek. Like Spade. Not a clown. Like the guy who changed it to that farce image to begin with :]. Again, thank you. Perhaps one day I'll learn to do this proper :]. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 65.5.176.229 (talk) 02:59, 26 March 2019 (UTC)

No problem! The important thing is that the problem with the article was fixed. – Teratix 11:16, 26 March 2019 (UTC)

Violent 2000 attack/attempted murder of Spade should be added to "Personal Life" section

Spade later says the attack was more brutal than he let on in 2001, so reports of the time, such as this: https://apnews.com/11f4f6be9c2a1a0853dcd9228433cec6, make it seem not much of a big deal.

http://www.lamag.com/longform/the-don-juan-of-our-time/: "Lastly, in 2000, the strangest blow: Spade’s pal and personal assistant, David “Skippy” Malloy, attacked and beat Spade, stabbing him repeatedly with a stun gun. “It was way more brutal than we let on back then.” The walls and floors of his house, Spade said, were spattered with blood."
