Orsum Island

edit

Would it be worth creating a new article about "Adventures on Orsum Island"? According to Mitton's obituary it's due to be broadcast soon, and we know enough about it from its website to be able to give specific details. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 92.8.26.169 (talk) 08:01, 26 June 2008 (UTC)Reply

remember WP:CRYSTAL. Don't create until the show is broadcasted. --SteelersFanUK06 ReplyOnMine! 22:27, 14 December 2008 (UTC)Reply

Date of Death

edit

It says that David Mitton died on May 16, however other sources (the IMDB) state that he died on May 23 after being on life support for a week. Sounds to me like he suffered the heart attack on May 16. This article may not be correct, so I thought I'd mention this. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.171.37.139 (talk) 01:36, 18 July 2009 (UTC)Reply

Thanks for noting this. Unfortunately, IMDB cannot be regarded as a Reliable Source since anyone can add content without peer review. The published newspaper obituaries give his birth and death dates, and unless there are extremely good references to the contrary, these are the dates that should prevail. These are pretty fundamental facts for an obituary, and a journalist who got them wrong would probably not keep his job for long! -- EdJogg (talk) 10:17, 20 July 2009 (UTC)Reply
