Marriage
editWow, I'm unable to find even the simple truth of who this guy married. The various references I posted seem to point to Maria Abernethy as the wife, but there were so many David Lindsays that it's hard to be sure. The only real clue is the Tartar page which says he received the Earldom after having after having obtained Glenesk in Angus through marriage to Maria Abernethy. That seems like enough of a connection to cinch it, perhaps. Jkeiser 08:21, 30 April 2006 (UTC)
- Yep. Can't go into details now, but I've found lots of agreement that this David Lindsay's wife was indeed Maria Abernethy. Rob Lindsey 21:45, 6 June 2007 (UTC)
- Interesting, but the Wikipedia page for Elizabeth Stewart, Countess of Crawford claims that she was his wife. 192.228.250.5 (talk) 11:08, 10 June 2017 (UTC)
- It seems Maria Abernethy was this David Lindsay's grandmother, the grandfather being Sir David de Lindsay of Crawford. [1] — Preceding unsigned comment added by 192.228.250.5 (talk) 11:17, 10 June 2017 (UTC)
