Good Article review progress box
|
1. Well-written
- "Fletcher was born in Orange, California and attended..." comma is needed after a state's name when the sentence continues
- "...and was awarded as the WCC Defensive Player of the Year." This wording is awkward. Change to "was named the WCC Defensive Player of the Year"
- "Fletcher began the 2023 season with the Angels, but went just..." comma needs to be taken out after Angels
2. Well-sourced
- Ref 23 needs more information in its citation (including the website name and access date)
- Ref 47 is a bare URL
- Refs 6, 11, 24, 34, 36, and 39 all need access dates
Copyvio check good. Spot check of refs 2, 9, 21, 27, 35, 50, and 55 looks good.
Other
- "Fletcher has received endorsement deals from Budweiser, Bank of America, and New Balance." This should either be expanded and made into a new section (public image or something like that) or moved into the player profile section. Endorsement deals aren't a part of someone's personal life.
Article is neutral, stable, and all images are free and relevant.
Only a few changes needed to be made, well done! -Riley1012 (talk) 13:59, 22 April 2023 (UTC)

- Newness criteria met, promoted to GA within 7 days of nomination. Article is long enough. Suggestion to change "MLB" to "Major League Baseball". Both as "MLB" and "Major League Baseball", this is under the 200 character hook limit. "Fletcher and his wife, Kierra, married in January 2019 and reside in Orange County, California." The wife's name should be removed per WP:BLPNAME. Fletcher is acclaimed by fans and baseball media alike for his defensive abilities in the middle infield. this requires more than one citation to prove "baseball media alike" and the word "fans" isn't in the cited article at all. Thus, NPOV violation. Article has sufficient inline citations. No image in hook so OK there. QPQ done. Hook is interesting to a broad audience once MLB is changed to "Major League Baseball". Similar to Angels Hall of Famer Vladimir Guerrero, that's nowhere in the citation. Hook is neutral and doesn't focus unduly on negative aspects of living people. First source to ESPN is a dead link and needs to be re-cited. Thus, the hook isn't cited in the article at current. Free from close paraphrasing, as copying entity copied us.
