Unsourced claim about BCCLA toxic work environment (Possible OR)

I removed the following unsourced statement. """ In 2021, he was involved in the BCCLA's decision to create a toxic work environment, leading to the resignation of their executive director. """ I'm not sure entirely sure what is being claimed here, and there's no source I can examine for clarification, but the following points seem relevant if it is to be re-added in some form.

• "Was involved" is pretty vague, but I'm not aware that Eby had any official role in the BCCLA in 2021.
• the BCCLA E.D. did resign this year, but it was because a tweet expressing support for the burning of Catholic churches in retaliation for residential schools. I can't find any news articles connecting the resignation to a toxic work environment. Tsmackinlay (talk) 01:06, 8 August 2021 (UTC)

Professor at UBC?

Undid the following recent revision:

"There is at least one fraudulent statement here, about David Eby:

One must be careful in assuming items that one does not believe to be true as "fraudulent." Perhaps the line "He is adjunct professor of law at the University of British Columbia..." should be changed to "He was adjunct professor of law at the University of British Columbia..."? That is, perhaps the info is not "fraudulent," but outdated?

Furthermore, the undid revision above should have been posted in this "Talk" section for discussion, and not in the main article.

UPDATE:

I emailed David Eby and received a reply from his constituency office confirming that Eby was an adjunct professor from 2009-2013. I cited this reference as:

I'm not quite sure about the policy on using email as a reference. It's a lot of work to get a list of past faculty members of UBC, so checking with Eby's office seems to be appropriate for this relatively non-controversial item for a living person's biography. In either case, the verified information would probably be in the form of an email reply.

Now that leads to another problem - how do readers verify that these emails exist? I suppose a reader could contact me (UpDater) and I would send a copy of the email (with confidential parts redacted). Or, the reader could email david.eby.mla@ge.bc.ca to confirm for themselves. And then what do we do about email addresses that are valid only for a specific period of time (I would suppose that Eby has this email address only while he is an MLA)? — Preceding unsigned comment added by UpDater (talk • contribs) 06:25, 18 December 2021 (UTC)
