The result of the move request was: not moved. as there is not a consensus that he is the primary topic; whether the David Clarke Jr. redirect should be retargeted to the David Clarke disambiguation page is out of scope of this discussion but can be decided at RfD. David Clarke (Australian footballer, born 1980) → David Clarke Jr. – Have already moved his father to David Clarke Sr., but the Jr. page currently redirects to David Clarke (sheriff). The Australian footballers Clarke Sr. and Jr. were a father–son combination who, somewhat amazingly, each played for both Geelong and Carlton in the VFL/AFL over different eras. The best commparison point for a move like this is the fellow Geelong father–son combination of Gary Ablett Sr. and Gary Ablett Jr.. Clarke the sherriff's father is non-notable, and hence Clarke the sherriff is almost never referred to as Clarke Jr. Gibbsyspin 00:35, 11 October 2023 (UTC) — Relisting. estar8806 (talk) ★ 00:25, 20 October 2023 (UTC)— Relisting. - Oppose The sources cited in the article do not appear to use the name "David Clarke Jr.", and OP has cited no sources. David Clarke Jr. should probably be retargeted to the dabpage David Clarke. OP's undiscussed move today of David Clarke (Australian footballer, born 1952) to David Clarke Sr. may not be uncontroversial. 162 etc. (talk) 16:46, 11 October 2023 (UTC)Reply
- Comment: Sources that refer to David Clarke Jr, David Clarke Jnr or David Clarke junior are as follows: Geelong Advertiser (2020), The Age (2003), The Age (2003) again, Australian Football, Blueseum. Gibbsyspin 00:30, 12 October 2023 (UTC)Reply
- Support. As long as no one can show the sherriff to be the primary topic, natural disambiguation is much more preferable than parenthetical disambiguation. Jenks24 (talk) 07:39, 12 October 2023 (UTC)Reply

- Oppose per 162. Retarget the "Jr." page to the dab. — Amakuru (talk) 23:10, 5 November 2023 (UTC)Reply
- Oppose. I'm not finding a primary topic between the sheriff and the Aussie rules player, so I don't think that moving this to usurp the redirect would be wise. However, it would probably be better to have the redirect point to the disambiguation page rather than the sheriff, since I don't think that there's a WP:PTOPIC for this term. — Red-tailed hawk (nest) 03:18, 6 November 2023 (UTC)Reply
