What about publishing to the web?
This article makes the immediate and definite assumption that publishing from a database is to a pagninated document (whether on paper or electronic, such as PDF).
I question why this assumption is made. I feels like this definition dates from about 1980.
Why cannot it not include publishing to web pages and intervening formats that are translated into web pages or other content delivery systems.
I have searched and searched in wikipedia and associated wikis for pages on publising from databases to the web and especially the concept of DatabaseAsWiki. I am finding virtually nothing. One project that seemed never to materialize.
If publishing to the web is not appropriate under a commonly accepted definition of "database publishing", at least then, how about some "see also" type links to appropriate articles. But.... I can't find any.
