Most famous in China

This is confirmation of the unreferenced ...:BBC stated on June 14, 2008, that Rowswell "has been China's most famous foreigner since 1988. Rumored Attempt at Singing Career

Rumors were that Dashan would release an album called "Dashan's Calypso Christmas" in the Christmas season of 2009. However, producers say the project is on hold, due to labor disputes with acclaimed steel drum musician Thabo Simbosi. Is Dashan editing his own page?

Isn't it the case that people are not supposed to contribute to their own wiki pages? It seems that Dashan has. This entry contains the statement, "Xiangsheng is often called "the art of comedic language", and as such is regarded in China as a highly skilled form of performing art beyond the reach of most native speakers, much less a foreigner."

On Quora, Danshan wrote an answer to a question asked about him, and his answer included, "xiangsheng is known as “the art of language” and considered beyond the ability of most native speakers, much less a foreigner who learned Chinese as a second language." http://www.quora.com/Why-do-so-many-Chinese-learners-seem-to-hate-Dashan-Mark-Rowswell

So either Dashan copied someone else's writing in his Quora answer, or he has added material to his own page.

The text was added on WP over 5 years ago, it's probably hopeless to speculate about who added it then. It's possible that he put it there, it's possible that someone else did and he slightly paraphrased it, it's possible that both his answer on Quora and the text on WP are paraphrased from some third place, or it's possible that he wrote his answer independently and it unintentionally looked similar to what's on WP.
