Does anyone (user:Bearcat?) know how to resolve the Himanshu Suri/Himanshu Kumar disparity? Most sources refer to him as "Kumar," but the most apparently reliable source -- an interview with Vazquez -- uses "Suri." Andersem (talk) 05:41, 15 June 2009 (UTC)

^It's definitely "Suri." I've only seen him referred to as Kumar in one article, presumably because he told the reporter his name was Kumar as a joke. That's the type of thing they do. 63.249.108.159 (talk) 07:19, 23 February 2011 (UTC)

Yeah, I agree. The "Kumar" thing is still showing up on their show listings in spring 2011, as is Bard College and the claim about meeting in a the Students of Color for Social Justice dorm. I'd put money on both of those things being jokes, too. --Andersem (talk) 01:36, 27 March 2011 (UTC)

I see your point, and I agree that anything that comes directly from Das Racist themselves needs to be taken with a huge grain of salt. However, Victor was Himanshu's RA in 200 Church, which can best be described as a "students of color for social justice" dorm. Unfortunately, I can't find a single RS that backs that up, and it looks like all the sources that parrot the Students of Color for Social Justice line are just taking it straight from the bio. Not really sure how to resolve that, but linking to their myspace bio strikes me as WP:SYNTH. There is this piece which directly addresses the question, but it's not exactly an WP:RS. Also, I'm pretty sure that Suri's name is "Himanshu Kumar Suri". -- Irn (talk) 21:54, 27 March 2011 (UTC)
