In the fallen angel subsection I mentioned the story I have herd, but as I have only herd it I do not have a citation for it. Does anybody know a printed story detailing the fallen angels becoming faries?

I have heard it mentioned as a theory some places, most notably in role playing games, like the World of Darkness series.
A more credible source would be the Faeries supplement for Ars Magica, which is at least more in agreement with the folklore (its bibliography is primarily academic sources). I seem to recall that they posited this theory as well.

I believe the Fallen Angels theory originated with the Theosophists, and is mentioned in Wentz's The Fairy Faith in Celtic Countries. --Kathryn NicDhàna 02:23, 9 November 2006 (UTC)Reply
Could we please get rid of that "theory" and put it under a suspected part or at least mark it obviously as a later development? Because everyone in their right mind can see that stories about creatures referring to times prior to christianization can't refer to fallen angels, and that this is a later interpretation from Christian view. Which is okay, but has to be marked as such - everything else is an anachronism.
