Daniel Vasella MD

I am assuming that means he is a medical doctor but if so, why is it that it makes no reference to his medical education in the article and only to his MBA???? 172.133.150.233 13:37, 29 March 2007 (UTC)

Editing article for NPOV

Hi, I'm Katya – a social media manager at Novartis. I'm aware of WP:COI and thus would like to raise to the community some portions of this article that I think could be improved. I've just suggested a few changes to the article on Joseph Jimenez, and some of the same observations apply here.

The Controversies and Criticisms section in this article (Section 3.1) appears to have simply been copied and pasted in its entirety from the same section in the article on Novartis.

I have doubts that this text really improves the article for the following reasons:

First, all of section 3.1 is already on the Novartis article page and therefore is redundant.

Secondly, none of this text mentions Daniel Vasella personally or his role in the controversies it describes. It seems to me that in order to be specifically relevant to this article any text on controversies should specify Daniel Vasella's personal role in the issue, with supporting evidence. Otherwise the material is not related to Daniel Vasella but to the company as a whole, and should be on the company's article (where it exists already).

The Conflicts and Criticisms section is also much, much larger than the rest of the article. Doesn't this constitute Undue Weight?

This is why I think section 3.1 should be deleted. What do you think? Katya Reck (talk) 16:09, 6 December 2013 (UTC)

I agree with you, it's wrong here and for other reasons bad. I removed it. Regards. --KurtR (talk) 22:35, 26 December 2013 (UTC)
