When W.W.E. created their film production division, Dan wrote the script for their first feature production. See No Evil (Lionsgate 2006) was a horror feature centering around a maniac Jacob Goodnight; played by W.W.E. villian Kane aka Glenn Jacobs. Madigan's working relationship and friendship with Jacobs seems to made a good chemistry for the script giving the twisted Goodnight a meaty character for Jacobs to portray. The film went on to world-wide success and despite mediocre reviews from film critics, See No Evil was well-received by horror fans.
Living La Vida Lucha
editMadigan has also written Mondo Lucha A-Go-Go (Harper Collins 2007), a four-color book on the world of four-color Mexican Masked wrestling or Lucha Libre. Many consider Madigan's book to the quinnisential work on the subject, featuring photos, fight bills and numerous interviews with the biggest names in the sport.
He currently writes a blog and articles under the luchadore name Baron von Bava or Baron von Lustmord.
Note: Baron von Bava is also the name of a character Madigan supposedly submitted to W.W.E. management to be a new heel, that of an unfrozen Nazi - who was kept in a cryo-lab after World War II. It is rumored that the company's rejection of the idea was so strong that it may have resulted in Madigan's dismissal by Stephanie McMahon.
Film
editIn 2007, Madigan was working with director Tobe Hooper to create the film "Tequila Joe", but the project was never produced.[1]
Dan is also attached to the feature project Cementville[2], which is a dark comedy about the world of professional wrestling as seen through the eyes of a group of women on the lower end of the business. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Walterjack (talk • contribs) 16:32, 19 October 2010 (UTC)
