While much of the material in the 3rd District article should also be here, it should remain on that page as well, as discussing the positions of representatives is vital in describing district politics (see talk page for that article). MisfitToys 22:54, 30 July 2007 (UTC)

Yes the article on the congressmen should remain distinct from the article on the district.- thank you Astuishin (talk) 03:17, 10 August 2007 (UTC)

Immigration

This section needs work, if for no other reason than the only citation is to an anti-immigration blog. --Sjsilverman (talk) 01:24, 24 March 2010 (UTC)

Which political issues and votes to include?

More generally, some standard should apply to determine which votes to discuss. If there is legislation in which Lipinski played an important role, these should be highlighted. Votes on particularly controversial pieces of legislation perhaps should also be included if they are likely to be of wide interest. Seemingly random selection of discussion of votes like the one on the Omnibus Public Land Management Act of 2009 don't seem merited unless this is an issue that Lipinski has emphasized. Or am I missing something? --Sjsilverman (talk) 01:24, 24 March 2010 (UTC)

I'd say that if the vote is covered by a third-party media source, then this coverage can be used in the article. If not, then it shouldn't be. — goethean 15:35, 10 December 2012 (UTC)
