Quote At The Beginning

This article contains a quote at the beginning. Is it really necessary? I don't think it fits well with Wikipedia's policy on Neutrality and on self-published sources. Asmark2 (talk) 01:25, 18 March 2013 (UTC)

@Asmark2: I agree, I've removed it. :) Acather96 (click here to contact me) 11:26, 1 February 2014 (UTC)

With (on Nov 21, 2010) 1,517,576 upload views on YouTube, 4394 fans on Facebook, 7286 on Myspace, 1692 followers on Twitter and multiple articles wrote upon him around the internet on sites such as the times1 and Kotaku.23 This has all been achieved in the period of 2006-present and because of this it is safe to say that Dan Bull is a popular figure currently, with a growing fan base. Thus I believe it valid to have an article upon him on Wikipedia. Currently, it is only small due to time constrictions. However, over time I, the author, intend to expand the article in accordance with Wikipedia rules.

Have a look at WP:BAND - see what the criteria are. Peridon (talk) 17:24, 21 November 2010 (UTC)
