Provenance of this redirect
editNomenclature context/linking in prior Croats versions:
- On 3 Jan 2013 (350+ edits ago) "Dalmatian Croat" was present in the currently prevailing context, though not wikilinked nor a sub-section heading, in Croats&oldid=531108497#Rise of the Croats.
- On 28 Jun 2013 (200+ edits ago) "Dalmatian Croat" remained present in the current context (dated), reinforced with a piped-wikilink within an eponymously headed sub-section, in Croats&oldid=562022475#Early medieval age.
- On 16 Oct 2013 (as now, notwithstanding a fixed wikEd artifact) I moved the wikilink to 1st occurrence (within the sub-section) and noticed the eponymous proper-noun heading/link pair, implying deference to the linked article. Noticing the deference was somewhat trans-contextual (people link to a predominately place article) and that the article per se is under contentious construction (high edit frequency, with many reverts) – I checked the stability of "Dalmatian Croat"s usage (as above). This all suggested that Wikipedia has a void, where a dedicated Dalmatian Croat (people) page is warranted and that it's currently, chiefly, incubated within the Dalmatia article. Thus, as WP:SPECIFICLINK, I created this redirect and used that, in Croats&oldid=577470603#Early medieval age – Ian, DjScrawl (talk) 14:29, 19 October 2013 (UTC)
This was copy editing and I do not have expert knowledge of this area or its people. Since general contention is evident across the article as a whole, and not wanting to re-enforce any bias-creep, I'm highlighting the above for possible discussion. – Ian, DjScrawl (talk) 14:29, 19 October 2013 (UTC)
