Mind providing a single source that says he is? Otherwise, per Wikipedia:Verifiability, it can't go in Wikipedia, regardless of the truth of the statement. Sam Vimes 21:45, 25 November 2005 (UTC)Reply
And is all true. The preceding unsigned comment was added by 210.54.195.197 (talk • contribs) 07:40, 11 December 2005 (UTC).Reply
Does not matter if no one else says he is. Sam Vimes 09:49, 11 December 2005 (UTC)Reply

Dallas is absolutely not a strict vegan. I believe this rumor arose because a close, high-profile friend of his is, in fact, a vegan. (Jacqueline aka TruthSeeker55) —Preceding unsigned comment added by Truthseeker55 (talkcontribs) 18:29, 9 August 2008 (UTC)Reply

Got to wait for Tommorows verdict.. details about prasad bidapa's arrests and release is added with context to the subject, Im not sure how right I am, do we need it or not??... and yeah Google search on Dallas Austin this article Ranks 1. --Sartaj beary 20:39, 3 July 2006 (UTC)Reply

I've removed it from the article per WP:BLP. Here's what it said:
In 2006 he was arrested at the airport in the United Arab Emirates for possession of cocaine, which he said wasn't his. He was in the UAE and was ultimately sentenced to 4 years in prison. However the Ruler of Dubai pardoned him from serving his sentence and consequently he was free to leave Dubai.
Please feel free to add it back in once a reliable source has been found for the information. ShadowHalo 03:05, 1 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

I think Wikipedians will agree that the New York Times newspaper is an even better source: http://www.nytimes.com/2006/07/08/arts/music/08pard.html —Preceding unsigned comment added by 173.50.107.45 (talk) 08:58, 16 April 2010 (UTC)Reply

Amuro Namie

edit

Austin dragged Amuro Namie's career into the ground. I'll change the wording of that statement until someone disputes my claim. Yajimari21 18:51, 17 March 2007 (UTC

Dallas Austin has been inducted into the Georgia Music Hall of Fame 2006. I'm requesting attribution from anyone who can help.

And what about his personality

edit

Shouldn't someone add what kind of person he is b/c of the rumour-story about Joss Stone, Christina Aguilera and others f*cking for tracks and then apologizing and telling it was all lie?

I mean... someone who tells such things must have a problem in his head, isn't it? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 85.242.242.118 (talk) 00:45, August 28, 2007 (UTC)

OOORRR It could mean he was telling the truth, but then decided it was a better career move to retract the statement rather than risk being blacklisted by their record companies. Nathan86 (talk) 10:23, 22 September 2008 (UTC)Reply

The Dallas Austin I know from Columbus, GA was a sweet guy that I went to school & played with in the neighborhood. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 172.164.129.106 (talk) 23:48, 10 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

Any discussion of "what kind of person he is" or a "problem in his head" does not adhere to Wikipedia's Neutral Point of View (NPOV) and leaves the realm of encyclopedia material and enters into tabloid. Notable clients & associated acts

edit

Can people PLEASE stop filling these up with their favourite artists? An artist is only a NOTABLE client if the song/s Dallas produced for them was/were big hit/s; they are only an associated act if they've had a long artistic relationship with Austin (like TLC and Monica).
