BLP sources tag edit
At this point, two-thirds of the article - basically everything about Detter rather than about the book - is without sources. As such, either that material needs to be deleted or the tag noting the lack of sources needs to remain. --Nat Gertler (talk) 15:55, 18 November 2016 (UTC)
Legatum Institute edit
Multiple editors have removed the wikilink to Legatum Institute, in an apparent belief that it is not referring to the same Legatum Institute, as that direct to a page on a Abu Dabai firm. However, if you read that whole page, the Institute in London is a project of that firm. Can we agree that the link should be restored? --Nat Gertler (talk) 15:18, 23 November 2016 (UTC)
Hello NatGertler, thanks for this, sorry I was away for a few days. You're correct in assuming that the Legatum Group funds the Institute, but Dag himself has no link with the Group whatsoever, so it seemed incorrect to link to that page because of this fact. The Institution's site however confirmed that Dag is a fellow and also has a bio that clearly backs up details on his page. Do you think it's impossible that we link to this? Thanks for your help! - Then it can be used as a reference link, not a direct link with the text body. However, the Legatum Group page does hold Wikipedia's information on the Legatum Institute. I have updated the Legatum Institute so that the link goes right to that section of the page. Is linking to that something that you concur with? --Nat Gertler (talk) 14:45, 29 November 2016 (UTC)
Book notability edit
There have been repeated attempts to insert the Cities book into the list of notable works in the infobox. However, the article currently has no sign that that book is notable; all the sources about that book are from the publisher. This is in contrast to the earlier book, with its appearance on best-of-the-year lists. Please do not re-add the book to the infobox until there is some source in the article providing substantial evidence that the book is notable. --Nat Gertler (talk) 14:13, 5 April 2019 (UTC)
Conflict of Interest edit
One or more persons with “an undisclosed connection to” Stefan Fölster and Dag Detter are editing the articles about these two people, their book The Public Wealth of Nations, and other articles associated with their work. This is an “apparent COI”. The person or persons are using the accounts Hollyeighteen, Sakakawean, Tigerinthesmoke, and Timeforteapet. As a sanction against this person or persons, I shall
- Post this notice on the talk pages of the most important affected articles.
- Post a notice on WP:COIN.
- Delete most of the contents of these articles, since the users mentioned above use Wikipedia to promote two people and their work in clear breach of rules pertaining to COI.
