End of Battle? edit

There has been no fighting do you think we should end the battle now as Stalemate 72.91.168.76 (talk) 15:19, 18 May 2011 (UTC)Reply

I concur. Especially given the fact that the Battle of Brega–Ajdabiya road article currently lists that battle as being finished, even though there are still intermittent clashes on that road. So unless anyone can come up with any significant updates, or will change the maps and show with compelling evidence that the territories in the East Libyan Desert are not completely under opposition control, I think that would be fine. Although, I believe a more appropriate result would be "Indecisive".Jetpower45 (talk) 14:05, 12 June 2011 (UTC)Reply

Border crossings edit

There's been talk on Twitter that the border crossings with Chad and Sudan are under TNC control now. —Nightstallion 08:27, 19 May 2011 (UTC)Reply

Sudan takes Kufra? edit

Undoubtedly any country entering a flashpoint like Libya and ratcheting up foreign intervention would be big news. But I still only see that single source from The Telegraph. Do we have any other independent verification of this? It's hard to believe that this would go unnoticed, especially if this happened more than 2 weeks ago. Jetpower45 (talk) 11:27, 2 July 2011 (UTC)Reply

Totally agree. What's more, there is no realistic chance that the Sudanese army would have the power to get into a new war a few weeks before the independence of South Sudan and with most of the Southern border becoming almost a war zone, including Abyei and South Kordofan. And with the United Nations mission in Darfur (UNAMID) monitoring the region between Sudan and Libya it is hard to imagine them not reporting suspicious activity let alone outright war. --Karouri (talk) 15:57, 2 July 2011 (UTC)Reply

I have sent mail to Telegraph with question regarding this. Its certainly interesting to see that Telegraph journalist Damien McElroy claims that Kufra has been under Sudan occupation for 3 weeks without anyone noticing. Only thing that was reported were clashes between Libyan and Darfur rebels (Sudan Liberation Army) which were strongly supported by Gaddafi. Hopefully I´ll get my respond and we can clarify this because it smells of bollocks. --EllsworthSK (talk) 20:24, 2 July 2011 (UTC)Reply

It's almost been a week. Any news from the Telegraph? Sudan has officially denied intervention at all. Ansh666 (talk) 05:35, 9 July 2011 (UTC)Reply
