Is this article really necessary? edit

I think this article is not needed; as this storm is not expected to impact any land in the predictable future. Even thought this storm is forecasted to become a strong cyclone, it only caused some flooding and damage at its very early stages. 2003 LN6 (talk) 23:43, 18 February 2021 (UTC)Reply

I agree. Though its outer rainbands might continue to affect land, there's no indication of its center going anywhere near land again. Gummycow moomilk 01:13, 19 February 2021 (UTC)Reply
Gummycow, the article is really needed. also, this storm has minimal impact on Mozambique HurricaneEdgar 02:44, 19 February 2021 (UTC)Reply
Unlike example this article Tropical Storm Delfina and Cyclone Herold HurricaneEdgar 02:46, 19 February 2021 (UTC)Reply
No, this article is definitely needed. Even if it died a couple of days ago before becoming a named storm, it already had enough flooding impacts in Mozambique to warrant its own article. As long as storm is notable enough to have an article, and has enough information to get a viable article, it should get one. This storm caused plenty of flooding in Mozambique already, and right now, it's strengthening of the coast of that country. Moreover, the storm is expected to bring even more flooding to the region, since it is expected to move even closer to Mozambique as it strengthens further, before it is expected to move out to sea. So yes, this storm definitely warrants an article. What we need now is enough people to fully-develop the article and flesh out the impacts section. If someone expands the impacts section enough and adds more citations, I may change my mind. 2003 LN6 (talk) 19:49, 21 February 2021 (UTC)Reply

Post-tropical date edit

I want to question how the post-tropical date is determined as MFR had it as post-tropical since 21th 18:00 UTC while JTWC updated until 22nd. So how exactly are those date in Wiki articles determined (especially including Tropical Cyclones in 2021 date) Thanks, Luke Kern Choi 5 (talk) 09:29, 22 February 2021 (UTC)Reply
